Kulolo (Taro Pudding)

Ingredients:

Kulolo (Taro Pudding)

  • 4 ti leaves
  • 2 cups grated raw taro
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups raw sugar

Directions:

  1. Line an 8-inch pan with foil and then with ti leaves.
  2. Combine taro, milk, and sugar; mix well.
  3. Pour into prepared pan; cover with ti leaves.
  4. Cover pan tightly with foil.
  5. Steam 5 to 6 hours or cook in pressure cooker for 2 1/2 hours.
  6. Cool and cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces.

Makes 16 servings.
