Climate Change Action Plan
Hawaiian Electric is committed to reducing carbon emissions in 2030 by as much as 70 percent below 2005 levels. By 2045, our carbon emissions will be net zero.

Road to Resilience
Climate change will continue to impact our islands. While outages may happen, we've upgraded digital equipment and wireless communication, so we can respond faster. Pole and equipment replacements have also made our electric system stronger. On Oahu, this has resulted in a 43% reduction in number of outages during high wind days.*
