  • 1 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green, yellow, or red bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano (or substitute 3 tablespoons fresh thyme)
  • 3 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 cup stewed, diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup black beans

  1. In a large saucepot, brown ground turkey.
  2. Add onions and bell peppers; sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in cumin, oregano, and garlic.
  4. Add chili powder and paprika.
  5. Stir in stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, and water; bring to a boil.

This dish I have made several times now (I have picky eaters by the way) everyone at the house loves it and I am getting ready to make it again today??

This recipe is AMAZING!!! I have tried it with turkey and I have also tried it with vegetarian meat and each time it was delicious and flavorful. The one item I did add to it each time was sweet corn and that is just because I love chili with corn in it.
