Gogijeon (Meat Jun)

Ingredients:

Gogijeon (Meat Jun)

  • 1/2 pound lean beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour for dredging
  • Vegetable oil to pan fry
  • Soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Cut beef into 2-inch x 2-inch pieces.
  2. If the beef is thick, pound meat with the back of a knife or a meat tenderizer to make it paper thin.
  3. Lightly season the meat with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet with 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil.
  5. Dredge the meat in flour, shaking off any excess flour, then dip into egg.
  6. Pan fry the meat for about a minute on each side or until lightly browned.
  7. Serve with soy sauce.
