Baseball Potluck Chocolate Tiramisu Cake

  • 1 package (18.5 ounces) devil's food cake mix
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 container (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 bar (8 ounces) semi-sweet baking chocolate (such as Baker's)


  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions; cool.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sour cream and rum extract.
  4. Fold in whipped topping with electric mixer.
  5. In a medium bowl, stir together sugar, coffee granules, and boiling water until dissolved; brush mixture over cooled cake.
  6. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake.
  7. Grate chocolate bar over cream cheese mixture and refrigerate.

Makes 20 servings.
