Ingredients:

Oriental Lavosh (Armenian Flat Bread)

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup furikake (seasoned seaweed mix)

Directions:

Preheat electric oven to 350°F. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and butter. With a pastry blender, mix ingredients together until mixture resembles cornmeal. Add buttermilk and stir until mixture forms a dough. Add furikake; knead lightly. Form dough into 1-inch balls and lightly coat with flour. On a floured board, roll balls into paper-thin (1/16-inch) pieces. Place on baking sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
