Vegetable Namul

Ingredients:

Vegetable Namul

  • 1 bunch watercress, washed and tough stems removed, cut into 1” lengths
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shoyu
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, place watercress in boiling water for 3 minutes; drain thoroughly; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, add garlic, sesame oil, sugar and shoyu.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add watercress and carrots.
  5. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Add cayenne pepper and sesame seeds.

Makes 6 servings.
