Turkey Lettuce Wraps

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons shoyu
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 3/4 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 1 head butter lettuce, or any leaf lettuce


  1. In a medium saucepan on medium-high heat, saute ground turkey.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, shoyu, brown sugar, green onions and bean sprouts.
  3. Cook 7 minutes or until garlic is soft.
  4. Stir in mint leaves.
  5. Transfer turkey mixture to a shallow dish.
  6. Remove core from head of lettuce; separate, wash and dry leaves.
  7. To serve, wrap a spoonful of filling in a lettuce leaf.

Serves 6.
