Teriyaki Soy Beans

Ingredients:

Teriyaki Soy Beans

  • 2 pounds frozen unshelled soy beans
  • 1/2 cup bottled teriyaki sauce (such as Huli Huli brand or Kikkoman)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds, optional
  • Hawaiian salt, to taste
  • Crushed chili pepper flakes, to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook soy beans according to package directions, being sure not to overcook; drain well and place into a large bowl.
  2. Mix together teriyaki sauce and sesame oil and pour over beans; toss to evenly coat soy beans.
  3. Sprinkle chopped garlic, sesame seeds, Hawaiian salt, and pepper flakes on top of soy beans.
  4. Serve warm or cold.

Makes 12 servings.
