Steamed Spareribs with Dau See

Ingredients:

Steamed Spareribs with Dau See

  • 1 lb spareribs, cut into 1-inch lengths
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dau see (Chinese black beans), rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Place spareribs in a heat resistant dish.
  2. Mash dau see; combine with remaining ingredients.
  3. Add to spareribs and mix well.
  4. Place in a steamer, cover, and steam for 30 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.
