I love this recipe. I use it all the time. I just cut down on the sugar. It always turns out great.

Nice easy recipe. I’ve used sugar substitute for my diabetic family members & they still enjoyed it. Also have added bok choy, bamboo shoots &/or shiitake mushrooms.

Tried it today. I Didn't have watercress and fresh ginger so I used powdered ginger and added shiitake mushrooms. Instead of sugar I used Safeway sugar substitute. It came out really good. I'll be using this pork tofu recipe from on.

So ono! I added a couple dashes of mirin too, wonderful dish! I didn't measure-- just eyeballed the shoyu, sugar, and water though and still came out wonderfully. Shoyu/sugar/mirin dishes usually require tasting and adjusting anyways ;) Yummy recipe -- my mother and grandmother used to cook this all the time!
