Ingredients:
Pork or Chicken Guisantes
Try this delicious recipe from the Electric Kitchen!
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2 pounds lean pork or boneless skinless chicken, cut into 1 x 1 1/2-inch pieces
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 cup water
1 (8 ounces) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 sticks cinnamon
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (15 ounces) can garbanzo beans, drained
1 (10 ounces) package frozen peas
1 red bell pepper, sliced or 1/2 cup sliced pimientos
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
Saute pork or chicken and garlic until brown.
Drain excess fat.
Add water and cook, uncovered, on medium-high heat until liquid is reduced.
Add tomato sauce, vinegar, cinnamon, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
Stirring occasionally, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add garbanzo beans, peas and bell pepper; cover and cook for 5 more minutes.
If using pimientos, add just before serving.
Discard cinnamon sticks and bay leaf.
Serves 6.

Delicious easy recipe. I got to use cinnamon sticks! Love the flavor from that!
