Poi Smoothie

Poi Smoothie

  • 4 ripe local apple bananas
  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1 ripe large papaya, halved and seeded
  • 1 cup fresh poi
  • 2 cups frozen organic berries (may substitute with mango if in season)
  • Chia seeds (optional)


  1. Peel bananas and place in blender.
  2. Pour in 2 cups coconut water.
  3. Scoop papaya meat into blender.
  4. Add poi, frozen berries, and chia seeds.
  5. Blend all ingredients in blender until you have a smooth mixture.
  6. Add more coconut water to desired consistency.

Serves 3.

Tip: Poi has a relatively short shelf life of up to four days. Store poi in the bag in a cool, dark place. Add a thin layer of water over the poi to keep it from drying out if storing it in the refrigerator. Poi is best cold or at room temperature.
