Ingredients:
Makina Salad
Try this delicious recipe from the Electric Kitchen!
- 1/2 bunch makina (also known as Chinese cabbage, won bok, or celery cabbage)
- 1 block (7 ounce size) kamaboko (Japanese steamed fishcake)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (consider using reduced- or no-fat mayonnaise)
- 2 teaspoons white miso (Japanese fermented soybean paste)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seed
Directions:
- Cut makina and kamaboko into julienne strips.
- Combine mayonnaise, miso, vinegar and sesame oil.
- Mix dressing with makina and kamaboko.
- Garnish with sesame seed.
Makes 6 servings.
Approximate Nutrient Analysis per serving:
200 calories, 17 g fat, 2 g saturated fat, 25 mg cholesterol, 500 mg sodium, 7 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g sugar, 6 g protein
