Lomi Salmon

  • 1/2 lb salted salmon
  • 5 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup crushed ice


  1. Soak salmon in water for 3 hours.
  2. Remove skin and bones; shred salmon into a bowl.
  3. Add tomatoes and onions; lomi or knead until well mixed.
  4. Chill thoroughly.
  5. Add ice before serving.

Makes 6 servings.
