3 lb short ribs
1 cup soy sauce
2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons grated or pureed garlic
2 tablespoons grated or pureed onion
2 tablespoons grated or pureed papaya
1 teaspoon pepper
1 stalk green onion, chopped
- Trim excess fat from ribs.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Marinate ribs in sauce and refrigerate for one day.
- Broil or grill ribs on both sides to desire degree of doneness.
Makes 6 servings.
