Japanese Style Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

Japanese Style Fried Chicken

  • 3 boneless, chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup shoyu
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup sake
  • 1 piece fresh ginger root, crushed
  • Potato starch
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

Directions:

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine shoyu, sugar, garlic, sake, and ginger.
  3. Marinade chicken for 1 hour.
  4. Dredge chicken in potato starch and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Makes 4 servings.
