Homemade Fish Sticks

Ingredients:

Homemade Fish Sticks

  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3/4 pound cod fillets, cut into 1-inch strips
  • Butter flavored cooking spray
  • Tartar sauce for dipping

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400°F, spray baking sheet with cooking oil and put on the side.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs and seasonings.
  3. Place flour and egg in separate shallow bowls.
  4. Dip fish in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess flour.
  5. Then dip in egg then breadcrumbs mixture.
  6. Pat breadcrumbs to the fish to help coating adhere.
  7. Place coated fish on baking sheet, spritz fish with butter-flavored cooking spray.
  8. Bake for 5-6 minutes, flip fish over and bake for another 5-6 minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  9. Serve with tartar sauce.
