Hoisin Oven Barbecue Chicken

Ingredients:

Hoisin Oven Barbecue Chicken

  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chicken soup base
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 20 boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 3 3/4 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup green onion, sliced

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix hoisin sauce, ketchup, rice wine vinegar, sugar, chicken base, granulated garlic, black pepper, oil, and water.
  2. Reserve 4 cups of sauce for glazing chicken later.
  3. Combine chicken and marinade and put in refrigerator for 8 hours.
  4. Heat oven to 425°F.
  5. Arrange chicken on sheet pans.
  6. Brush the reserved sauce over chicken.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions.
