Fresh Apple Cake

Ingredients:

Fresh Apple Cake

  • 4 large apples
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat electric oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Pare, core, and dice apples.
  4. In a large bowl, sift flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  5. Add eggs, oil, and vanilla; mix well.
  6. Mix in apples and nuts.
  7. Put in prepared pan; bake for 45 minutes or until done.

Makes 24 servings.
