Easy Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients:

Easy Baked Spaghetti

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 can (1 pound, 13 ounces) tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 package (8 ounces) spaghetti, uncooked
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheese

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in large skillet; add onions and garlic.
  2. Cook slowly for 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until lightly browned; drain excess oil.
  4. Add seasonings and tomatoes.
  5. Cover, simmer 30 minutes.
  6. Remove garlic and add water.
  7. Break half of spaghetti into well greased 2-quart casserole.
  8. Pour half of sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with half of cheese.
  9. Add remaining spaghetti and sauce and top with cheese.
  10. Bake covered at 325°F for 25 minutes.
  11. Uncover and bake 25 minutes more or until brown.

Makes 6 servings.
