Broiled Prawn Appetizers

Ingredients:

Broiled Prawn Appetizers

  • 2 lb jumbo (16-20 per lb) prawns
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons alae (red Hawaiian salt) or kosher salt

Directions:

  1. Remove legs and connecting shell between legs of prawns, leaving body shell and tail intact.
  2. Pat prawns dry.
  3. Brush prawns with mayonnaise and lightly sprinkle with salt.
  4. Broil in electric oven for about 2 minutes on each side, or until shells turn red.

Makes 12 servings.
