Ingredients:

Beef Tomato

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds chopped steak
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3/4 cup low-sodium shoyu
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • Chopped cilantro and green onions for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat; brown steak.
  2. Add onions, garlic, bell pepper, celery, and shoyu.
  3. Simmer for about three minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and water; simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Add tomato wedges towards the last 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and green onions.

Serves 8.
