Ingredients:
Andagi (Okinawan Doughnut)
Try this delicious recipe from the Electric Kitchen!
Salad oil for deep frying
4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups raw sugar
1/2 cup instant non-fat dry milk
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup water
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
Directions:
Heat oil to 375ºF.
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, dry milk, baking powder, and salt.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Add to dry ingredients and mix until dry ingredients are moistened.
Drop dough by spoonfuls or by hand into hot oil; fry until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
Makes 5 dozen andagi.

I am 100% Okinawan and this is the BEST recipe ever!
My mother would always make andagi on the spur of the moment, if any unexpected guests would drop in. I was not able to get her recipe because she did not measure the ingredients.
I found this recipe about 5 years ago, and have been using it and sharing it with others.
I especially love how it "blossoms."
