Air Fryer Crispy Shrimp Tempura


Air Fryer Chicken Piccata

  • 3/4 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning, separated
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, separated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt or to taste, separated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup panko
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray


  1. Heat air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine flour and half of the lemon pepper, garlic powder and garlic salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining seasonings and panko.
  4. In a third bowl, lightly beat eggs.
  5. Toss shrimp in flour mixture.
  6. Remove individual shrimp from flour mixture, dip in egg, then in panko mixture.
  7. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
  8. Lightly spray air fryer with cooking spray.
  9. Add single layer of shrimp to air fryer basket.
  10. Cook for 4 minutes at 400°F.
  11. Flip shrimp over, lightly spritz air fryer basket; cook an additional 2 minutes or just until cooked through and crispy.
  12. Repeat with remaining shrimp.

Serves 4.
