Ingredients:
$1000 Prize Recipe for Chicken
Try this delicious recipe from the Electric Kitchen!
- 6 chicken breast halves
- Garlic salt, pepper, paprika to taste
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1 can (4 ounces) mushrooms
- 1/4 cup sherry or white wine
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place chicken in baking dish.
- Sprinkle with garlic salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, basil, onions, mushrooms, sherry, lemon juice, and mushroom soup.
- Heat mixture until butter melts.
- Pour mixture over chicken and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Serve with hot rice.
Makes 6 servings.
To cook in a slow cooker: Place all ingredients in a pot on low and cook for 4 to 6 hours.

This chicken dish was soo delish! Easy and fast with ingredients easily found in anyone's pantry. Not the usual recipe using cream of mushroom soup:)

Excellent! Used breast fillets; crock pot is the best for this; IP may overcook it.
