Lane Closures for emergency utility work in the McCully-Ala Wai area
Release Date: 11/7/2017
HONOLULU, Nov 7, 2017 - Hawaiian Electric Company crews are performing emergency work to replace a damaged section of 46-kilovolt underground electrical cables in the McCully area near Waikiki. Work will continue through the evening.
For the safety of the public and the crews, the two center lanes of McCully Street are closed near the Kapiolani Boulevard and Ala Wai Boulevard intersections as crews work in manholes to replace the underground cables.
Traffic signs and cones will mark the work areas. Hawaiian Electric wants to advise motorists and area residents of the closures and apologizes for the inconvenience.
