Hawaiian Electric will replace utility poles near Kahe Power Plant

HONOLULU, Sept. 13, 2018 – Hawaiian Electric Company will be replacing three utility poles along Farrington Highway near Kahe Power Plant. The work will occur on Friday, Sept. 14, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The utility poles are on the mauka side of Farrington Highway, in the vicinity of the power plant and Tracks Beach, requiring the closure of the far-right westbound lane of Farrington Highway. The lane closure will begin after the entrance to Kahe Power Plant and will end a short distance after the entrance to Tracks Beach.
Traffic signs, control measures, flagmen, and special-duty police officers will help direct traffic on Farrington Highway.
