Hawaiian Electric utility work to close westbound lane of Farrington Highway in Makaha starting Thursday

HONOLULU, Mar. 12, 2019 - Hawaiian Electric will be doing maintenance work on utility poles along Farrington Highway in Makaha starting Thursday, March 14, through Saturday, March 30. The work will require the closure of the westbound lane of Farrington Highway near Makua Beach to Kaena Point, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Crews will be working on 100-foot sections as they progress along Farrington Highway.

Traffic will be contra-flowed and traffic cones will be placed around the work area with flagmen onsite to help direct drivers on Farrington Highway. The public should exercise caution when approaching and passing the work area.
