Hawaiian Electric utility work on Wilikina Drive in Wahiawa
Work scheduled on March 13–April 7

HONOLULU, March 10, 2017 - A Hawaiian Electric Company contractor will be performing utility work along Wilikina Drive in Wahiawa near Schofield Barracks as part of a project to interconnect the Schofield Generating Station with the electric grid. The work will be performed from March 13 to April 7, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
For the safety of work crews and the public, the far-right eastbound lane of Wilikina Drive will be closed during construction hours between Kunia Road and Kamehameha Highway. Work will begin on Wilikina Drive near Kunia Road, and the crew will proceed in the eastbound direction. Traffic control measures, aided by special-duty police officers, will be used to help direct traffic flow on Wilikina Drive.
