HONOLULU, Nov. 16, 2018 – Hawaiian Electric contractors are continuing repairs to a 30-foot section of pipeline along Waipahu Depot Street, requiring closure of a section of roadway to one lane and a temporary bypass along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path. The work has been extended through Friday, Nov. 30, to accommodate additional repairs.

The work takes place on weekdays across the street from the Honolulu Fire Department maintenance facility from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No work will be done on the Thanksgiving holiday.

Barriers will block off a section of the Pearl Harbor Bike Path along Waipahu Depot Street for the duration of the project. A temporary asphalt bypass will be available to bike path users.

Area businesses will remain accessible during the project. A flagman will direct traffic around the excavation site where there is only one lane, and there will be signs and cones to alert motorists.
