Hawaiian Electric utility work in Nanakuli to close one lane of Farrington Highway on Thursday

HONOLULU, June 29, 2020 – Hawaiian Electric crews will be installing new equipment on a steel utility pole along Farrington Highway in Nanakuli on Thursday, July 2.

The work will close the right, westbound lane of Farrington Highway between Haleakala Avenue and Helelua Street from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pedestrian sidewalk in the work zone also will be closed for the safety of the public.

Electronic message boards will be set up this week to alert motorists of the upcoming work.

Safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work zone, and special duty police and flagmen will direct traffic. Motorists may experience delays and should plan accordingly.
