Hawaiian Electric construction requires closure of lane on Ala Wai Boulevard in Waikiki

HONOLULU, Sept. 27, 2018 – A contractor working for Hawaiian Electric Company is probing for existing utilities at the intersection of Kaiolu Street and Ala Wai Boulevard. The work requires the closure of the makai lane of traffic on Ala Wai Boulevard between Lewers Street and Launiu Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This work is part of the construction to install new 46-kilovolt cables under the Ala Wai Canal, serving Waikiki.

The lane closure will be marked with traffic signs and cones.
