Hawaiian Chili Pepper Water

Ingredients:

Hawaiian Chili Pepper Water

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Hawaiian salt
  • 15 to 20 Hawaiian chili peppers, sliced (may substitute with different chili peppers)
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 3 (1/4-inch thick) ginger slices
  • Dash shoyu
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

  1. Add ingredients to a small pan and bring to a quick boil.
  2. Reduce heat immediately and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cool, then transfer to a sterilized bottle.
  5. Store in refrigerator up to 1 year.
  6. Over time, the flavors will enhance as the peppers and other ingredients will infuse with the liquid.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
