Five-spice Marinated Chicken

Ingredients:

Five-spice Marinated Chicken

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 shallots, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons five spice powder
  • 6 large skinless boneless chicken thighs

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix first 6 ingredients together and put into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch-baking dish.
  2. Add chicken; turn to coat.
  3. Let marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Turn often.
  5. Preheat broiler.
  6. Broil chicken about 6 minutes per side until juices run clear.
  7. Cut into slices for banh mi and serve.

Makes 6 servings.
