Ingredients:
Energy Bars
Try this delicious recipe from the Electric Kitchen!
2 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies)
1 cup quick oats
3/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
1 package (10 ounces) marshmallows
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup peanuts
1/2 cup raisins (or other dried fruit such as cranberries, blueberries, or diced apricots)
Directions:
Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
In a saucepan or skillet, combine rice cereal, oats and sesame seed; toast over medium heat a few minutes.
In a large saucepan, combine marshmallows, peanut butter and butter; melt over low heat.
Stir in cereal mixture, peanuts and raisins.
Press firmly into prepared pan.
Cool and cut into bars.
Makes 36 bars.
Approximate Nutrient Analysis per serving: 110 calories, 6 g fat, 2.5 g saturated fat, 50 mg cholesterol, 60 mg sodium, 13 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 6 g sugar, 2 g protein

Thank you for sharing this recipe! This is the one I made with my English teacher who was from Hawaii and I have been trying to find the recipe for!! I tried some other energy bar recipe because this is the best! Now I have printed it out so I can make anytime. They are gone so quickly when I make them. Only down side is to clean up the bowl with sticky melted marshmallows. Lol

Very good! Used a 7 1/4 x 11 pan for thicker bars, also easier to flatten evenly.
