Work scheduled on Tuesday, May 30
Release Date: 5/25/2017
HONOLULU, May 25, 2017 - On Tuesday, May 30, Hawaiian Electric Company crews will be continuing utility work in Wahiawa that affects a small section of Kamehameha Highway. Crews will be stringing power lines over Lake Wilson to interconnect the new Schofield Generating Station with the electric grid.
On Tuesday, just as on Sunday, May 28, one of the two northbound lanes of traffic heading into Wahiawa town, before the Lake Wilson overpass, will be closed. The northbound right-hand lane of Kamehameha Highway will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The lane closure is needed for the safety of work crews and the public. Traffic control measures, aided by special-duty police officers, will be used to help control traffic.
Hawaiian Electric wants to advise the public about the continuation of this work and apologizes for any inconvenience.
