Island-Wide PSCAD Study Meeting on June 30, 2021

This meeting will present the findings from the Stage 2 renewable projects interconnection studies that examined system stability with the expected high penetration of inverter-based resources. An island-wide PSCAD study was commissioned to explore 2023 scenarios that evaluated the impacts of grid-forming battery inverters, and the reliability risks associated with aggressive solar, wind, and energy storage (inverter-based) scenarios and low penetrations of synchronous generation.
