Customers challenged by the financial impact of COVID-19 are urged to apply now for utility bill assistance from government and nonprofit sources. Millions of dollars in federal CARES Act funding are available only until the end of the year.

Hawaiian Electric crews will be replacing a utility pole and conductors along Kamehameha Highway near Laniakea Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, closing the Waialua-bound lane.

Hawaiian Electric crews will be upgrading infrastructure on Ualena Street near the airport – including setting steel poles – beginning 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16. Use of a crane will prohibit access to Ualena from Ohohia Street on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Hawaiian Electric to conduct routine aerial line inspections for Molokai on Oct. 29, Maui on Oct. 30

As part of efforts to maintain reliable service, Hawaiian Electric will be using a helicopter to perform routine power line inspections on Molokai on Thursday, Oct. 29 and Maui on Friday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
