SATURDAY UPDATE 5 P.M.: Crews working to restore circuit serving essential services in Lahaina

In coordination with state and county response efforts on Maui, Hawaiian Electric crews are working to restore a critical circuit in West Maui that serves essential services, such as grocery stores and pharmacies, along with a county wastewater pumping facility in the Lahaina area.

FRIDAY UPDATE 5 P.M.: Majority of customers on Maui have been restored

Hawaiian Electric is continuing to rebuild sections of the electric grid to safely restore service in parts of West Maui and Upcountry, focusing on critical circuits that serve businesses which provide essential services for local communities.

Hawaiian Electric has restored power to about 80% of the customers who have been without electricity since Tuesday.

SUNDAY UPDATE 1 P.M.: Crews working to restore power to 5,000 affected customers on Maui

Hawaiian Electric restoration crews have brought back online more than 60% of customers who have been without electricity since Tuesday and are continuing work to restore approximately 5,000 customers in West Maui and Upcountry.

SATURDAY UPDATE 7:30 P.M.: Power restored to more areas of West Maui

Hawaiian Electric restored additional circuits today in West Maui, picking up customers along the Kaanapali Coast, including many of the hotels, resorts and condominiums that had been without electricity since Tuesday.

FRIDAY UPDATE 6 P.M.: Hawaiian Electric restores power to parts of Napili, Puukolii, Mahinahina

Hawaiian Electric has restored power to one of three main transmission lines serving West Maui and restored service to some customers in Napili, Puukolii, and Mahinahina where essential public services, such as water pumps, and first responder facilities are located.
