Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. ("Hawaiian Electric"), a subsidiary of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (NYSE: HE) ("HEI"), today issued the following update in response to the lawsuit filed on Thursday by the County of Maui.
Hawaiian Electric crews made significant progress in the past 24 hours, restoring power to nearly all customers in the West Maui area today and working to bring electricity back to a remaining pocket in the Upcountry area.
