Hawaiian Electric has selected Onyx Development Group LLC, the development arm of Onyx Renewable Partners L.P., to build and maintain Mikiola Solar, the largest utility-scale renewable energy project on Lanai and the island’s first to offer the shared solar program (also known as community-based renewable energy or CBRE).

The amount raised is one of the largest contributions to AUW by Hawaiian Electric employees over the past two decades.
Hawaiian Electric has established a permanent program that offers a discounted rate to customers with special medical needs, including those dependent on life-support equipment at home. The rate is available to 2,000 residential customers.
Hawaiian Electric upgrades Battery Bonus program with new perks for customers who add storage to PV systems
Hawaiian Electric is making its Battery Bonus program more attractive for customers by offering new incentives that include a bill credit for electricity exported to the grid and a monthly peak capacity payment based on the size of a customer’s battery system.
