Utility work to close section of Walua Road in Kona

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole on Walua Road in Kona on Tuesday, April 1. The work requires a closure of Walua Road, between Akoni Drive and Ainanani Street, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole along Farrington Highway near Waipahu Town Center on Wednesday, April 2, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Hawaiian Electric to host e-waste recycling drive-thru March 22 at its Ward Baseyard, 820 Ward Ave.

Hawaiian Electric will hold a free e-waste collection and recycling drive-thru for the public on Saturday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at 820 Ward Avenue, across Blaisdell Center.

Utility work in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Hawaiian Electric will begin a six-month project to rebuild a section of its transmission line inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park starting on Monday, March 3.

Underground utility work Feb. 27 – July 9 on Merchant St.

Hawaiian Electric crews and contractors for the electric utility will perform repairs and upgrades of the downtown underground network along Merchant Street between Bethel Street and Fort Street Mall starting Thursday, Feb. 27, through Wednesday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, excluding weekends and holidays.
