Utility work along Kula Highway to impact traffic July 20-22

To maintain reliable service, Hawaiian Electric contractors are replacing 3 utility poles along Kula Highway between Pueo Drive and Lepelepe Place that will impact traffic on Monday, July 20 to Wednesday, July 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. No service interruption is expected.

Overnight road closure for utility work in North Kona

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole in North Kona on Hawaii Island on Thursday evening, July 23. The replacement will require an overnight road closure while the work is being performed.

Partial road closure for utility work in Kurtistown

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace utility poles in Kurtistown on Hawaii Island on Wednesday and Thursday, July 22-23. The replacements will require a partial road closure of Volcano Road between Paahana Street and Puko Street while the work is being performed.

Utility work along Waipahu St. to impact traffic overnight Thursday, daytime Friday & overnight 7/30

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace utility poles and other equipment along Waipahu Street on three separate days, starting overnight Thursday, July 16, partially closing the eastbound lane of Waipahu Street between Waipahu Depot and Mokuola streets with traffic contraflowed and parking restricted in the work area.

Utility work along Hana Hwy. in Paia Tuesday across Lower Paia Park to impact traffic, sidewalk & bike lane

Hawaiian Electric contractors will install a weather station on a utility pole along Hana Highway in Paia on Tuesday, July 14, partially closing the far-right mauka lane of the highway across from Lower Paia Park (Baby Beach Park) from 9 a.m. to noon.

Utility work 6/26 and 7/2 to impact Kapiolani Blvd. in Moiliili

To support construction of the Kuilei Place condominium in Moiliili, Hawaiian Electric will install and/or replace utility poles and related equipment along Kapiolani Boulevard, impacting a single eastbound lane on Friday, June 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and closing the H-1 Freeway westbound offramp (Exit 25B) to Kapiolani Blvd. along with three mauka westbound lanes starting 9 p.m.

June 15 to July 4: Pole relocations along Waiehu Beach Road to impact traffic

To maintain reliable service, Hawaiian Electric crews will be working to relocate 11 poles along Waiehu Beach Road between Kahekili Highway and Makaala Drive, from Monday, June 15 to Saturday, July 4 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday. No service interruption is expected

Hawaiian Electric to install acoustic seabird detectors on Maui

Hawaiian Electric will be installing up to 125 acoustic seabird detectors on its electrical poles in various locations across Maui starting Monday, April 20 to Monday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
