Hawaiian Electric to install acoustic seabird detectors on Maui
Hawaiian Electric will be installing up to 125 acoustic seabird detectors on its electrical poles in various locations across Maui starting Monday, April 20 to Monday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Utility pole replacement Wed. to impact traffic on Kailua Rd.
Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole and power lines along Kailua Road on Wednesday, April 15, partially closing the right Honolulu-bound lane and bike lane near Kailua United Methodist Church to the Windward YMCA from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Underground utility upgrades Mon. – Fri. in Waikiki to impact Kuhio Ave., Kaiolu St., Lewers St., Kalakaua Ave.
Hawaiian Electric will replace and upgrade underground cables in Waikiki starting Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, requiring lane closures or narrowed lanes, parking restrictions and/or sidewalk closures impacting Kuhio Avenue, Kaiolu Street, Lewers Street and Kalakaua Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Storm-related utility work Sat. on Kapiolani Blvd. in McCully
Hawaiian Electric will replace a storm-damaged utility pole and equipment along Kapiolani Boulevard in McCully on Saturday, April 4, requiring closure of the two right eastbound lanes of Kapiolani Blvd. between Wiliwili and Paani streets from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Underground utility work starting Mon. to impact Ala Moana and McCully area traffic through mid-April
To improve system reliability, Hawaiian Electric will begin upgrades of underground utility equipment in the Ala Moana and McCully areas starting Monday, March 30, until Wednesday, April 15, except weekends and holidays.
