Hawaiian Electric Fast Charger Rates

For customers that are unable to charge EVs at home, they can charge their EVs at Hawaiian Electric’s DC Fast Chargers or other publicly available charging stations.

Commercial customers who are interested to host Hawaiian Electric public chargers at their site can contact GoEV@hawaiianelectric.com.

Below are the time-of-use rates for Hawaiian Electric’s DC Fast Chargers:

Oahu:

On-Peak (5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) $0.57/kWh
Off-Peak (10 p.m. - 9 a.m.) $0.54/kWh

Maui:

In January 2020, the Public Utilities Commission approved the Company’s plan to own and operate four charging sites that previously operated as part of the EVohana network on Maui. The Schedule EV-Maui charging rate was designed for a limited use case in anticipation of reduced operating cost. The EV-Maui rate operates separately from the Company’s Fast Charger pilot program and applies to the following locations only:

  • Lahaina Aquatic Center
  • Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center
  • Piilani Village Shopping Center
  • Pukalani Terrace Shopping Center
